How does it work?
How do I know my tree has been planted?
You can expect to receive two separate emails to the email address provided at checkout.
- Before planting your tree, we'll let you know when and where the planting will occur so that you can sign up to volunteer and plant the tree with your hands. *You do not have to attend for us to plant your tree.
- After your tree has been planted, we'll send you another email with the exact coordinates of its location so that you can visit it in the future.
We hope that you enjoy watching your tree grow and thrive!
What size tree does my donation plant?
Your donation of $29.99 will plant a native 5-gallon tree.
If you want to donate a larger tree, please email us at trees@livelihood.eco with your specifications to place a special order.
What if I am gifting a tree?
If you're planting a tree as a gift in honor of someone else, make sure to add an order note in the cart before checking out with the following info:
- Recipient's name/nickname. This is the name our team will print on the certificate that will be mailed.
- (Optional) The email address to which you want us to send tree updates.
If you'd like us to mail the certificate directly to the recipient, please enter their shipping address at checkout.
How long does it take to plant my tree?
It can take anywhere from a couple of months to a year from the date of donation to the planting of your tree. We will communicate with you regarding your tree's status throughout the process.
The actual time to plant a tree at an event is 5-15 minutes, depending on the soil's hardness.
Who will take care of my tree?
Each planting location has a different maintenance partner, but you can count on your tree being monitored and watered when needed for a year after planting to ensure its survival.
